The Severn Way

Following the 210 miles of the River Severn from source to sea, this route cuts across Shropshire from Bridgnorth to Shrewsbury and continues West into Wales. Approximately 90 miles of the route is within Shropshire

Not only does it follow the River Severn, the route is also designed to help walkers make the most of the surrounding countryside.

You can make the walk as challenging or relaxing as you like whilst viewing the many contrasting landscapes.

There is the spectacular Ironbridge Gorge with its hanging woodlands, or walk in the shadow of the Wrekin and Breidden Hill. Visit the County town of Shrewsbury and its many attractions or visit the Severn Valley railway near Bridgnorth.
